“Ndozvatinoita, tinoenda kurikuenda mhepo,” is the closing statement on Soul Jah Love’s brand new track which is a dedication to Zimbabwean current president Mr. Emerson Mnangagwa who is facing an election petition challenging his presidency from MDC-A President Adv Chamisa.

The track has crossed heads as it has become an endorsement of Mnangagwa who is less popular among most of Soul Jah Love’s fans especially in Harare which widely voted for Chamisa in the just ended Presidential elections.

Chibaba as he is popularly known has been on a Zanu PF cheering team even since Mr. Mugabe’s time. As someone who grew up facing the challenges caused by Zanu PF mismanagement of the economy some would expect Jah Love to walk on a path like Winky D did on the Parliament song and call out the authority responsible to give the youths a chance.

What do you think about Soul Jah Love’s latest track titled E.D Pfee?

A few days after Ninja Kabhidha revealed how Winky D’s camp deserted him after dissing Seh Calaz, the youngster has made a brand new move to distance himself from the Vigilance Side camp by joining forces with the Bandit Boss, Seh Calaz in the new mixtape.

Sadly Zimdancehall this year is only represented in two categories at the annual National Arts and Merits Awards. Dancehall lacks representation is some of the most prestigious music categories such as Artist of the Year and Album of the Year which had seen artists like Winky D and Killer T nominated in the previous years.

However, Soul Jah Love and King Shaddy are up to the rescue. King Shaddy was nominated for the best video alongside Studio Arts Pictures who shot and directed the video ‘Bhero‘. Other videos vying for the same award include Ndinokakama by Dereck Mpofu and Over Again by Vimbai Mukarati.

Pamamonya Ipapo was undoubtedly an anthem for 2017 only until Jah Prayzah‘s kinda prophetic album ‘Kutonga Kwaro‘ took the streets. Soul Jah Love has gained a nomination from the folks at Nama for the song and he faces Jah Prayzah’s ‘Ndini Ndamubata‘ and Ammara Brown‘s ‘Akiliz‘. Its definitely not going to be easy on this one as all the three songs were exchanging the top spot on our playlists through out the year.
